Gynecologist
Victor Tsan’s journey as a gynecologist is nothing short of inspiring. Fresh out of medical school, he stepped into the world of medicine in his early 20s, full of dreams and determination. His first assignment at a local clinic posed its challenges—especially as a young male doctor in a field that often made women feel a bit shy and uncomfortable.
When patients walked through the clinic doors, many were initially hesitant. They felt vulnerable, knowing they were there for intimate examinations and discussions about their health. It was a delicate environment, and Victor understood its significance deeply. He worked hard to create a welcoming atmosphere, keenly aware that trust was essential in fostering strong relationships with his patients. One day, a compassionate nurse turned to the anxious women waiting in the office and said, “You are not here to see a man but a doctor.” This simple but powerful statement emphasized Victor’s professionalism and dedication to his role.
its significance
As time passed, Victor’s warm demeanor and expert knowledge helped dispel the initial discomfort. Women began to see him not just as a doctor, but as a trusted ally in their journeys toward motherhood. He became an advocate for women’s health, providing exceptional care during pregnancy and beyond. His practice flourished, and he celebrated many joyous moments alongside his patients as they welcomed new lives into the world.
One of Victor’s standout contributions to his field was his innovative use of acupuncture within his holistic approach to fertility. With a deep belief in treating the whole person rather than just the symptoms, he integrated traditional methods with modern medicine. This unique blend allowed him to help hundreds of women who had previously struggled with conception. Each success story brought him immense joy, reinforcing his commitment to empowering women on their paths to motherhood.
Acupuncturist-Gynecologist for Women’s Diseases
However, his experience with acupuncture began as a disappointment. It occurred in 1977 when he worked as a gynecologist at a fertility clinic. At that time, the hormone substitution approach was the only method available for treating women’s infertility. No In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) and Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) had been developed and used yet. Victor will probably remember for the rest of his life the day he told a woman that, unfortunately, she would never be able to get pregnant and deliver due to her reproductive system condition. A woman left his office, crying. Approximately one year later, Victor accidentally met this woman, who was pregnant. Victor knew for sure that she wasn’t able to conceive, but the reality was different. When he asked her how it happened and which gynecologist was able to solve her problem, she recounted a story about finding an acupuncturist who treated her for several months, which led to her pregnancy after the treatment.

That was the moment when something clicked and switched in his mind, and he realized he needed to explore more treatment options beyond what Western medicine suggested.
Through his journey as a gynecologist, Victor Tsan, MD not only transformed lives but also changed how men are perceived in the field of gynecology. His kind heart and skilled hands forever changed the narrative for countless women, creating a legacy of hope, healing, and human connection in the realm of reproductive health.
